Karate pads are an important piece of martial arts or even boxing equipment. There are many different kinds of pads, each one with a specific area of the body it guards. They are made of very durable and softly padded material.
What Kind of Karate Pads Do I Need?
The kinds of pads you might need depend on your personal weaknesses. If you have trouble guarding your body, you might want to wear a rib guard. If you have trouble getting hit in the legs, you might want some sparring shin guards.
All these pads can be found at either a sporting goods store, or at any online store that carries martial arts sparring gear. Normally, these kinds of pads will vary greatly in price. It will fluctuate anywhere from twenty-five to three-hundred dollars.
Karate pads are necessary for safety. Without these pads, a fighter could incur serious injury simply sparring. It is normally required that all fighters wear headgear and groin protection.
